At Galilee Baptist Church we exist to make the name of Jesus Christ famous, one life at a time. You can join us on Sundays at 9:00 am for Sunday School and at 10:30 am for our main worship service. There is child care available at both the 9 and 10:30 hour for birth through senior high.

Who we are.

Welcome to Galilee Baptist Church! We hope you will enjoy your online experience and get a taste of Galilee. No matter what stage of life you are in, you are welcome here.

Galilee has been a vital part of the Denver Metro community since 1883. Members of our congregation travel from all parts of the city every week to worship here. We are honored to be a part of this community and what’s happening here. We hope you will come visit.

What to Expect.

At our 10:30 worship service we provide biblically sound sermons, and a diverse worship experience. Our congregation is a diverse age group. We strive to put together a worship service that will allow all ages an opportunity to experience God no matter where they are
in life.

Our Senior Pastor

Roman Sanchez is serving as the senior pastor of Galilee Baptist Church

Ministries
Before coming to Galilee in 2006 Roman served as an Assistant Pastor in the areas of Spiritual Formation, Pastoral Care and Student Ministries at Colorado Community church in Aurora and Englewood Colorado.
Before coming to Colorado he served for six years as a Student Ministries Pastor at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, California and for five years at Grace Church (Now Sea Coast Grace) as the Pastor to Middle School Students in Cypress California.

Education
He graduated from Biola University (Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education) and Talbot School of Theology (Master of Arts in Christian Education).

Family
Roman and his wife Heather live in Southeast Denver with their five children (including twin girls!), Roman’s Mom, and a German Shorthaired Pointer, Ellie.

Personal
Roman grew up in Long Beach California where he enjoyed rooting for the Lakers and Dodgers (and still does). He is a would-be hunter and fisherman. “Would-be” because he has only caught one fish while living in Colorado and until recently the only birds that he has shot are clay pigeons.
His personal favorite passage of Scripture is the 103rd Psalm and his vision verse for Galilee is Jeremiah 29:7 “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
